Induction program for the 36 newly recruited staff across Makueni County Public Service and Administration of Oath of Secrecy

The Board has successfully conducted a one-day induction program for the 36 newly recruited staff across Makueni County Public Service, marking a significant step in enhancing the county’s public service delivery. The induction, held on 21/01/2026 at the Boards Boardroom was meant to familiarize the new employees with the Human Resource Policies and procedures and the overall expectation of themselves as public Servants.

Chairperson of the Public Service Board, Benjamin KasaMBA, emphasized the importance of effective public service in improving the livelihoods of Makueni’s residents. “As you are ushered into the Makueni County Public Service, your ultimate goal should be to ensure improved service delivery that results in a better quality of life and satisfaction “Happy Hour” for the people of Makueni.,” he stated.

CS Redempta Kavindu, the Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Board encouraged the new staff to embrace innovation and teamwork as they embark on their careers. “Together, we can make Makueni a model county by leveraging our collective strengths and ensuring that no one is left behind,” she remarked.

The County Solicitor thereafter formally led the administration of the Oath of Secrecy to the newly recruited officers and the County Public Service Board Secretariat staff, signifying the commencement of a county-wide exercise.
