This Afternoon, the Board held an introductory and consultative meeting with representatives from various staff unions. The meeting brought together leadership from various unions as below:
• Kenya County Government Workers Union (KCGWU)
• Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO)
• Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU)
• Kenya National Union of Medical Laboratory Officers (KNUMLO), and
• Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives (KNUNM), with the Meeting recording an apology for Kenya Civil servants Union.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Board and union representatives to engage on matters affecting staff within the County Public Service and to strengthen collaboration.
Board Chairman Bw. KasaMBA reaffirmed Board’s commitment to transparency and adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures in key processes such as promotions and disciplinary procedures. He noted that the Board will enhance sensitization across the County Public Service to bridge information gaps on these processes. The Board also committed to concluding all promotion cases already submitted to the Board on a priority basis.
The Board appreciates the continued cooperation of the staff unions and remains committed to fostering constructive engagement that strengthens service delivery and promotes the welfare of all county public servants.
